Spend your days running your fingers and toes through white
powdery beaches and relish exploring the best shelling east
or west of Australia. There are 17 miles of beaches for
shelling, swimming or basking in the warm Florida sun. Sanibel’s
unique location lying east to west in the Gulf of Mexico
off the coast of Fort Myers, (unlike most islands which
are north to south), has made Sanibel a remarkable area
for over 160 varieties of shells to wash ashore. This lush
tropical paradise is only a short 30-minute drive from Southwest
Florida’s International Airport (RSW).
This pristine natural sanctuary, with beautiful and exotic
wildlife running free around you is the finest vacation
spot in the world. Sanibel Island remains untouched by neon

Two thirds of Sanibel is part of the Ding Darling Wildlife
