Come & escape to the beauty of Cape San Blas and Barrier Dunes. Cape San Blas is located 50 miles SE of Panama City between Port St. Joe & Apalachicola, just east of Mexico Beach & west of St. George Island!Cape San Blas, FL is 20 miles long and a mile wide at it's widest point! St. Joseph Bay is on one side and the Gulf of Mexico is on the other. Ten of the 20 miles consists of St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and there are no high rise condos. This allows for an uncrowded and unspoiled beach--lot's of room for you and your dog to enjoy! Your dog is welcome on the beach with NO TIME RESTRICTIONS!
Barrier Dunes is a secure, gated community with 2 fantastic pools. One is located directly on the dunes with a beautiful view of the ocean and a great clubhouse. Barrier Dunes also has tennis courts, fishing ponds, boardwalks throughout and several pet stations!
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is located right next door to Barrier Dunes and offers excellent access to the bay as well as 7 miles of undeveloped, unpaved pristine wilderness area, bay access and beach. Enjoy rare views of sea birds & other wildlife. We took a boat out in the bay and saw dolphin dancing around the boat, schools of stingray, starfish, sea urchins, sand dollars, fish and crab! The clear water bay is one of the cleanest in Florida & provides excellent snorkeling, boating, fishing, crabbing & scalloping.
Two Bedroom two and a half bath is 100 steps from The Cape Escape & on the lake! On the upper level is a King & Queen bedroom, both with private bathrooms and porches. They both have Cable TV & one has a VCR & the other a DVD! 2 of the 3 decks overlook a large freshwater fishing lake & the condo is 200 steps to the beach or the gulf front pool! Both are supplied by the owner with GREAT amenities!
Come & enjoy the beach that was voted #1 in the USA by Dr. Beach in 2002!
Amenities:
Owners provide beach chairs, beach umbrella, buckets/shovels, boogie boards, crab nets, cooler and buckets and a beach cart to carry it all--though the beach is 100 steps from The Cape Escape I & 200 steps from The Cape Escape II.
We also try and have all the little things that are easy to forget like laundry soap, tin foil, DW detergent & lots of other extra! We want The Cape Escape to feel like home! We hope this clears some space in your car and makes your vacation planning easier!
Both units also have portable phones, answering machine, washer and drier, fully stocked kitchen, all linens provided, games, puzzles, books, kids movies, outdoor hot and cold shower to wash those sandy paws and toes, covered parking, clothes lines for those wet towels--too much to mention! We also provide a guest dog dish & pet towels!
